The Bafang BBS01B 48V 250W Mid-Drive Motor is a high-performance e-bike drive system designed for off-road and private land use. With a rated power output of 250W, it is not permitted for use on public roads, cycle paths, or pavements in the UK or EU.

Based on Bafang’s proven BBS platform, the BBS01B delivers smooth and dependable pedal assistance through a cadence-based sensor system. Power is applied progressively as you pedal, providing consistent support that enhances your ride without overwhelming it — ideal for trail riding, private land use, and recreational cycling.

As a mid-drive unit, the BBS01B drives power through the bike’s drivetrain, improving climbing efficiency and maintaining balanced weight distribution. This results in better performance on hills, increased range, and a more natural riding feel compared to hub motors.
